Miami’s game against the Jets Sunday was watched by many, both for the AFC East rivalry and for the playoff implications for New York, but one particular play is getting a lot of attention from the media. Most NFL coaches let their players speak for them on the field, but the Jet’s Strength and Conditioning coach, Sal Alosi, preferred to take matters into his own hands.
During a replay, the coach was seen putting his knee out in the way of Dolphin’s cornerback Nolan Carroll tripping him. I am sure Alosi thought he was being very inconspicuous, but fortunately, the move was caught on film.
The play has been seen all over, with the Dolphins accusing the Jets of cheating, while the Jets have yet to respond. I can’t say I am surprised, considering New York head coach Rex Ryan’s attitude, but it is pretty rediculous that Alosi’s instinct was to interfere with the play.
What do you think of the trip? Did you see it? Big deal or not?
